Adding or editing the list of areas that appear in the Find properties in your local area footer section

The areas which appear in the Find properties in your local area section of your website are controlled by the Areas section of VIA.

The areas you add to VIA will appear in this section, and the corresponding Property for sale | Property to rent links which display underneath will show a list of properties whose postcode matches the postcodes you have added to the area in VIA.

To add/edit your list of Areas:

  • Login to VIA

  • In the left hand menu, go to the top tab entitled Areas & Offices, Lead Manager, Property Editor or CRM > Areas

  • Click the Search button to view a list of all areas that have been added to your website.

To edit, simply double click the area from the list, or right click and select edit

  • Edit the Name field to change the name of the area as it appears on the website

    • Edit the Postcodes field to edit the postcodes of properties that will appear when the property for sale or property to rent links are clicked. You can add multiple postcodes that can be full or partial postcodes. All postcodes should be separated by a comma

    • Click Save and Close

To add a new area

  • Click Add

    • Edit the Name field to change the name of the area as it appears on the website

      • Click Save and Close

The other fields such as Description are used to edit/add the content which appears on the Area Guides pages
