When your search for Website Pages or Blogs with your VIA software, you may notice that VIA alerts you to SEO issues on these pages.

You should address the issues VIA is alerting you to to ensure the best performance of your website when it comes to SEO (essentially, how highly your website ranks in Google for the keyword searches that matter to your business.)

Simply double click (or right click and select edit) the relevant page or blog you wish to edit.

SEO Issues Explained:

Missing Window Titles

Every page or blog of your website should have a Window Title. This should be self descriptive and clearly explain the content of the page. Your Window Title should be no more than 60 characters in length (VIA will automatically limit the window title field for you)

It is important that your window title is unique. None of your window titles should be the same.

Missing Meta Descriptions

Every page or blog of your website should have a meta description. This should be explain the content of the page in more depth, and contain the relevant keywords you want to target. The first 5 words you use in your meta description are the most important so should contain the most relevant keywords you want to target

Window Title Length

Your window title should not exceed 60 characters. VIA will naturally prevent you from entering more than 60 characters when you edit this field. However, you may have written your window title before this limit came into force, so you should now correct it.

Meta Description Length

Your meta description should be no more than 159 character. VIA will naturally prevent you from entering more than 159 characters when you edit this field. However, you may have written your meta description before this limit came into force, so you should now correct it.

Below is a screen shot of where the Window Title and Meta Description Fields can be found whenever you add or edit a page or blog.
