A guide to how properties appear in your website's property search
The property search on your website is one of your most important features of your website. Ensuring your house hunters can search and find your property listings easily is vital to the smooth running of your website, not to mention important for vendors trying to find their own online listing.
As such it's important to understand how the properties you add to your property management software or CRM then end up on your website, and how you can search your website to find them.
If you are having a website built by Webdadi, it’s important to test your website's property search during your BETA testing period to ensure you are familiar with how it works and to avoid teething issues once you go live.
How do my properties end up on the website?
In order to add properties to your website, you will either be using Webdadi's VIA software to add them directly, or adding them to a third party CRM provider such as Vebra, Reapit, or Dezrez from which we will import the property listings onto your website.

I can’t find a property on the website?
If you can’t find a property on your website, it might be because you’re simply not searching for it properly online, or a simply case of incorrect data entry. Follow the steps below to locate your property.
You can view any property listing on the website by going to your website address followed by /property/ then the property code or id. eg: www.platinumestates.co.uk/property/chs0003fc . This is an easy way to find any property online and confirm it has been uploaded correctly by using the unique ID of the property from your CRM without having to manually search for it using the website’s property search.
If you can’t find your property online in this way and are using the website's search to manually locate it, it’s important to understand how your search works. The following article outlines how each of the website's searches work https://webdadi.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PKB/pages/914096129/A+guide+to+your+website+s+property+search+options . You need to ensure the phrase you have searched is contained in the property address, or the postcode of the property has been added to the relevant area in VIA
Lastly, you should consult the relevant guides above to understand how the import from your property CRM works and how frequently the data is uploaded to the website. You need to ensure the listing is marked correctly and enough time has elapsed to allow the property to upload. A good tip is to compare the property with another one that is on the website correctly to compare and ensure you have marked all fields correctly
If you have consulted followed the steps above and still cannot work out why a property is not displaying, you can raise a ticket through the Training & Support centre in your VIA software outlining the full property address, price, postcode and whether it's sales or lettings. It’s important you let us know all the relevant information about the property in order to help you.
Do you monitor the properties that are being imported to the website?
Yes. We have monitoring on all of our tools to alert us to any issues, including issues with your third party supplier.
We also have logs to track what properties have been imported, edited, or deleted at any given point in time.
Most of the time, if a property can’t be found on the website, it's not a technical issue, but simply an issue with data entry or a misunderstanding of how the website search works.
