Hiding the Google reCAPTCHA badge from your website

Webdadi’s website platform Atom is equipped with Google’s latest reCAPTCHA. This tool helps prevent malicious activity and SPAM submissions through your website. You can find out more about Google’s reCAPTCHA service here

Google’s terms of use mean the reCAPTCHA badge should be displayed on the website:

However, you can request that this symbol is hidden from your website. In order to so:

  • Contact your Account Manager and ask for the reCAPTCHA badge to be hidden from your website

  • Ensure the following message is displayed on every submission form on your website. To do this:

    • Login to VIA

    • Go to Settings > GDPR

    • Go to the Contact Form Submission Disclaimer field. Click the </> symbol

    • Paste the following text into the field underneath any other text you have in this field

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google <a href="https://policies.google.com/privacy">Privacy Policy</a> and <a href="https://policies.google.com/terms">Terms of Service</a> apply.

If you are unsure how to do this you can ask your Webdadi account Manager if they can do this for you when hiding the reCAPTCHA badge

Important Information: Once you have requested for the reCAPTCHA badge to be hidden, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the above message is always visible on the forms of your website to ensure you are not in breach of Google’s terms of use.

Whilst Webdadi can add in the necessary information, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the message is not deleted or edited in any way by any user of VIA they have setup.
